Old Salem

The kitchen in the Single Brother's House.

Our class traveled to Old Salem. The students worked together to make apple fritters. Students also made clay tiles. The Moravians used clay tiles on their roofs. Additionally, students listened to a story about how flax plants can become linen. Each student was given a dried flax plant to twist around their finger to expose the soft fibers used to make linen.
